Strategic Communication

At Dark Energy, I was able to strategically manage the rebranding of Darkenergy.com. This included creating the content strategy and optimizing the user experience in the development of the new site. I also managed the content creation for the website, making sure all content is on brand and is optimized for highest usability, engagement and accessibility.

Project Management

As the VP of Marketing and Public Relations at Quicker Ventures, I managed campaigns for 17 different client accounts from 7 different countries, helping them raise over $400 thousand in revenue. I also managed a team of PR specialists for Dark Energy, resulting in over $97 thousand in crowdfunding revenue.

Relationship Building

As the Communications Manager for Dark Energy, I recruited and worked with a team of over 30 industry influencers to promote the new Dark Energy brand. I have enjoyed developing an extensive network of journalists and PR professionals through networking events as well as through different social media channels. I have successfully formed many different strategic partnerships resulting in cross promotion through email lists and social media platforms, product bundling, digital asset sharing as well as etail, retail, and direct sale deals.


During an internship with the PR firm Walker Sands, I was able to craft story angles and conduct media outreach for both privately owned and publicly traded tech-focused clients. There a gained valuable writing experience, drafting dozens of press materials and thought leadership content including bylines and press releases. I was also a reporter for The Daily Universe at Brigham Young University where I published over 300 inches of content. Throughout my different work experiences, I have written articles and press releases in the consumer technology, entertainment, non-profit, medical, food, music and athletic gear industries.
